The short answer
Choose Google Workspace if you want email together with documents, shared drives, calendars and video meetings, managed per user.
Choose VayloMail if you want your own mail server and dedicated IP, standard IMAP and SMTP for your own software, and one price per server rather than per seat.
Side by side

When Google Workspace is the better choice
- Your team works in shared documents, calendars and video meetings every day.
- You need per-user administration, mobile device management or Google's compliance tools.
- You have many staff mailboxes and want an office suite managed for you.
When VayloMail is the better choice
- You want a mail server and IP that no other customer shares.
- Your own software reads mailboxes over IMAP, and per-account connection limits get in the way.
- You want one flat price for the server instead of a price per seat.
- You need only email, not an office suite.
Using both
Some teams keep Google Workspace for staff and run a separate domain or subdomain on VayloMail for automation mailboxes. Plan the DNS before changing anything: a domain's MX records can point to only one mail system. Ask support to agree a DNS plan.
Questions, answered
Is VayloMail cheaper than Google Workspace?
It depends on the number of users. VayloMail is £35 a month per server, not per user; Google Workspace is priced per user. For one or two people Google Workspace usually costs less; VayloMail's flat price matters more with many mailboxes or automation workloads. VayloMail does not include documents, calendar or video.
Does Google Workspace offer a dedicated IP?
Not as a standard feature. Workspace mail sends from Google's own infrastructure.
Can I move from Google Workspace to VayloMail?
Yes, but migration is not included. Plan the DNS change and copy existing mail with a standard IMAP migration tool before switching MX records.
Can I use VayloMail and Google Workspace on the same domain?
Not for the same addresses: a domain's MX records point to one mail system. Use separate domains or subdomains, and agree the DNS plan with support first.
