What you get
The mail-server plan costs £35 per month, or £315 billed annually. It includes a dedicated server and IP, domain-based email, webmail and standard mail protocols. Billing and cancellation are handled through the customer portal.
The published plan includes nightly offsite backups with 14-day retention. Contact support to confirm restore scope and any recovery requirements before relying on a specific recovery objective.
When a dedicated server makes sense
This setup suits customers who want isolated mail infrastructure and standard protocol access for their own domain or automation workflows. A dedicated IP separates your IP reputation from a shared sending pool, but you are responsible for building and maintaining that reputation.
If your main requirement is shared calendars, document editing or a full office suite, compare those needs separately. A private mail server is a different purchase from an office collaboration subscription.
Use the clients you already know
| Service | Connection | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| IMAP | 993 · TLS | Read and organise mail in your mailbox. |
| SMTP submission | 587 · STARTTLS | Submit outgoing mail using authentication. |
| ManageSieve | 4190 | Manage server-side filtering rules. |
| Webmail | Browser | Read mail without installing a desktop client. |
Use the hostname and credentials supplied for your own server. Port numbers are not login credentials.
From order to working mail
- Enter an existing personal email address and your domain at checkout. Your personal email receives account information; it is not your new mailbox.
- Wait for your server details. Setup is usually advertised as 5–15 minutes, but provisioning and DNS delays can extend this.
- Configure DNS after the server is ready. If the domain already hosts a website or another mail provider, ask support about retaining existing DNS first.
- Connect your mail client using your server hostname and credentials.
Sending, limits and delivery
VayloMail advertises no fixed service-level sending cap and supports concurrent IMAP workloads. That does not mean infinite server capacity or guaranteed inbox placement. Actual performance depends on server resources, workload, mailbox size and receiving providers.
SPF, DKIM, DMARC, TLS and reverse DNS are part of the published setup. Receiving networks still apply reputation checks and their own throttling. All usage must follow our acceptable-use policy.
What to confirm before ordering
- Storage, mailbox and domain capacity for your workload.
- Required server location and any data-handling needs.
- Migration assistance and restore arrangements.
- Expected message volume and IMAP concurrency.
Send support your requirements before moving an existing business mailbox. There is no published performance benchmark or uptime SLA on this page.
