Mail infrastructure
for your automation.

Connect your own workers to a dedicated mailbox server using standard IMAP. VayloMail is designed for automated mail workflows and provides a dedicated IP, your domain and SMTP submission.

For workflows that read and organise mail

Use IMAP to read folders, search messages and maintain mailbox state from your own software. Workloads may include monitoring your own incoming operational mail, extracting information from messages you are entitled to access and applying server-side filters.

VayloMail supplies the mail infrastructure. This page does not promise a particular third-party integration, packaged extraction API or compatibility with every automation tool.

Why Gmail and Outlook limit IMAP, and what to use instead

Large shared mail services set per-account limits on simultaneous IMAP connections and bandwidth, and Microsoft 365 applies throttling, to protect shared infrastructure. Parallel workers on one account can hit those limits and see dropped or refused connections.

A dedicated mail server avoids sharing those limits with other customers. Its capacity is still finite: it is set by your server's resources rather than by a fixed per-account cap.

Size the workload, not just the connection count

The product is advertised for concurrent IMAP automation without a fixed service-level connection cap. Finite CPU, memory, storage and mailbox indexing still constrain throughput. A connection limit and a measured throughput result are different things.

Tell support your peak connections, message arrival rate, mailbox size and typical IMAP commands. No measured concurrency benchmark is published here; the homepage’s example should not be treated as a reproducible load test.

How many IMAP connections can I open?

VayloMail sets no fixed service-level cap on concurrent IMAP connections. The real limit is the server's CPU, memory, storage and mailbox indexing, so the useful number is your measured throughput, not a connection count.

Tell support your expected peak connections and message rate before you scale. Start with a representative workload and increase it gradually.

Use the hostname and credentials supplied for your own server. Port numbers are not login credentials.

Build clients that recover cleanly

  • Keep passwords outside source code and logs.
  • Use TLS certificate verification with the supplied hostname.
  • Reuse connections sensibly and handle reconnects with bounded backoff.
  • Track message UIDs and UIDVALIDITY; message sequence numbers can change.
  • Avoid repeatedly downloading or scanning every message when you need only new mail.
  • Make processing idempotent so a retry does not repeat a business action.

These are client design considerations, not independently measured VayloMail performance claims.

SMTP has different constraints

Authenticated SMTP submission uses port 587. A server accepting a message is not proof that the recipient has accepted it or placed it in the inbox. Receiving providers may delay or reject mail based on reputation, content and volume.

Use lawful, authorised workflows and follow the acceptable-use policy. A dedicated IP does not bypass another service’s abuse protections.

Evaluate before scaling

Start with a representative workload on a server you are authorised to test. Measure connection failures, command latency, processing lag and resource usage with stated test conditions. Increase load only within the agreed scope.

Discuss your workload with support. The mail-server plan is £35 per month, or £315 billed annually.

Questions, answered

Which email host allows many concurrent IMAP connections?

A dedicated mail server avoids the per-account limits of shared services. VayloMail sets no fixed service-level cap on concurrent IMAP connections; capacity depends on your server's resources and workload.

Why do I get “too many connections” errors from Gmail or Outlook?

Shared services limit simultaneous IMAP connections and bandwidth per account. Parallel workers on one account can exceed those limits.

Can I poll mailboxes in parallel from an internal tool?

Yes, for mailboxes you are authorised to access. Reuse connections, track UIDs and UIDVALIDITY, back off on errors, and size the workload with support first.

Is there a sending cap?

There is no fixed VayloMail sending cap. Server, recipient and acceptable-use limits still apply, and receiving providers apply their own reputation checks and throttling.
